What did you do in Bike Week?

Cyclox was really busy. In the week leading up to Bike Week we arranged for four new cyclists to experiment with cycling to work. Cyclox hired bikes for two of them and they enjoyed it so much that they kept the bikes for a second week so they could use them during Bike Week. They are still cycling now – a small success and one that was well reported. For more info see the BBC Online news report or download a pdf of the Oxford Mail report; download here.

During Bike Week Cyclox was again really busy. You probably joined us on one of the rides around Oxford. Thanks! They were a great success and several hundred cyclists joined in over the week. A description of the rides will appear on this website soon so you can do the rides yourselves.

The Oxford Commuter Challenge 2004 once again showed that cycling is three times quicker for peak-hour cross-town journeys. The challenge was featured on Fox FM, Central News, BBC Local Radio and TV news, and in the Oxford Mail and Times.
