The committee have arranged advocacy training on our usual meeting date so there won’t be a public meeting.
Spring Cyclox Social March 23rd
Arrangements are under way to get together at the Rusty Bicycle at Magdelan St in East Oxford during the evening Thursday March 22nd. No need to book unless you want a meal, just turn up and find the Cyclox table putting the cycling world to rights. Apart from a chat it is another chance to tell us what you think is important for Cyclox to concentrate on in 2012.

Seven local groups have come together to organise Bike Week events in and around the city, and they all welcome new cyclists and enquires. In addition, Oxford’s two universities also support Bike Week. Oxford Brookes University has activities for staff and students at all its campuses including Bike Doctor sessions and Bike Breakfasts. Commuter challenge. Wednesday 8th June: Bikes win first 11 places! Full results here
- People on different modes of transport commuted 7 miles from the village of Eynsham into the city. The commuters used various vehicles: a handful of bicycles, a recumbent tricycle, an electric bicycle, a motorcycle, two cars, two bus services – and one person even ran the five mile route! The city’s new Lord Mayor, Cllr Elise Benjamin, rode with the cyclists. We thought the motorbike would arrive before the bikes, but in fact all of the first 11 arrivals were pedal-powered. read more
