13. SEPTEMBER 19TH, CYCLING PHOTOGRAPHY EVENT

Cyclox was delighted to host our first ‘Cycling photo exhibition’ in September 2017.

The event was opened with an engaging talk by Oxford-based champion hill-climber, blogger and photographer Tejvan Pettinger, who presented several of his favorite photographs of people cycling in Oxford, and shared some top tips of getting good shots.

For the competition, members had been encouraged to upload their photos, and nearly 200 photos were entered by the time of the event on Tuesday 19th September.  Those attending the event voted as follows:

Winner:
Picnic by the river (Walton Street Cycles / Kevin Moreland)
Runners-up:
Grandson with bike (Simon Hunt)
Riding through the poppyfield (Simon Hunt)
Tired of being fat and ugly? (Walton Street Cycles)
Going downhill fast (Walton Street Cycles)
Bride and groom on tandem (Oly Shipp).

The event generated significant interest through subsequent Facebook posts, and a helpful legacy of lots more photos we can use to promote our work.  Thank you to all involved.
