Sarah Berry is an active travel campaigner and co-chair of Lambeth Living Streets. Yet, it wasn't until 2018 that she 'properly learnt how to ride a bike' and - even then - saw bike trips as a leisurely activity to take part in when visiting cycling-friendly European cities, not for travelling around London, where she lives.
'Then COVID happened...'
Sarah will share her experience of how quieter roads helped give her the confidence to start riding a bike in London and why she is a passionate advocate of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs). Sarah's writing - Diary of a New Cyclist and Taking Up Space - won the blog category in the Active Travel Media Awards 2020.
