Cyclox Campaigns Director
We are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting our first Campaigns Director.
We are looking for a brilliant freelance to deliver Cyclox’s campaign strategy, including Vision Zero. You will be key to leading Cyclox through an exciting period of change and possibility, to ensure that everyday cycling is front and centre of the changing approach to travel in Oxfordshire.
You will be joining at an incredibly exciting time for cycling and active travel in the county. We have a County Council with a deep commitment to improving safety and the numbers of people cycling across Oxfordshire. The Central Oxfordshire Travel Plan is one of the UK’s most radical transport proposals. It sets out to transform Oxford into a low-traffic, high-active-travel and public-transport-led city. This has national and international significance.
Cyclox is at the heart of a large, vibrant and cohesive active-travel campaigning ecosystem. We collaborate with the County and City Councils to influence strategic policy-making as well as physical infrastructure design by.
The role
The Campaigns Director role is a fixed-term 3 day-a-week project for 12 months initially. The coordinator will work as an independent contractor accountable to the chair of Cyclox. Pay is negotiable but we are offering in the region of £30 per hour.

Join our board of trustees
In this, our 20th year of campaigning, we are looking for a number of new trustees. We are seeking individuals who see utility cycling as a central part of urban living and are motivated to help get more people cycling in and around Oxford. We need to increase the range of skills we can draw on, including someone who can oversee Cyclox’s fundraising. We also need to think of succession planning for existing leads in different areas.
