Students, of course. School children (especially to the Cherwell School), commuters, tourists, grandparents, trades people and delivery firms\u2026. Over a third of Oxford residents cycle at least once a week, according to the Department for Transport. And we know from <a href=\"https:\/\/lcon.org.uk\/oxford-car-free-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">working with local residents<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/lcon.org.uk\/oxford-car-free-challenge\/\"> <\/a>that many more would like to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oxford Travel Options<\/a> (developed by Low Carbon Oxford North and Zero Carbon Oxfordshire Partnership) is here to help: it brings together information, advice and inspiration about buses, bikes, walking, Park &amp; Rides, lift sharing and scooting \u2013 all in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Useful information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/travelling-within-oxford\/cycling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plenty of useful information<\/a> for those who already cycle and those who aspire to do so, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>where can you find an online cycling map for the city<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>where can you rent an e-bike or buy a cheap second-hand bike<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>options for adult cycle training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>where to get your bike repaired<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the Cycle to Work scheme &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Real stories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>And there are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">real stories from local people<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\">,<\/a> with advice and inspiration for those who would like to cycle more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\/samita\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Samita<\/a>, whose children used a school bike library and recently learned to cycle. She says \u201cIt\u2019s changed how they look at life\u201d. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\/katherine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Katherine<\/a>, who found an adult cycle training session gave her the confidence to cycle more. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\/richard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Richard<\/a>, who works in Banbury, and travels by bike and train.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/better-journeys\/travelling-for-work\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sam<\/a>, who uses an e-trike for his window-cleaning business.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfordtraveloptions.co.uk\/local-voices\/cherie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cherie<\/a>, who started cycling only a year go: \u201c\u2026.my mental health is better. I didn\u2019t realise how big an impact it was going to have on me. I fell in love with the feeling of cycling almost immediately.
