Our events include family cycle rides, free cycle repairs at summer festivals across the city, and talks by visiting speakers.

Dr Bike
We will be running our Dr Bike free bike repair stalls at Oxford’s summer festivals again this year.

Trial bike buses
A ‘bike bus’ is a collective cycle ride to school stopping to pick up children on the way.
We are running four trial bike buses in June and July at Oxford primary schools, to give kids and parents/carers a chance to try them out.
If you have children/grandchildren/friends at any of the schools involved, please share the information below:
• Windmill Primary School | 13 June | meet 8:00 at Margaret Road Park
• Cutteslowe Primary School | 20 June | meet 8:00 at Cutteslowe Park Café
• St Frideswide Primary School | 4 July | meet 8:00 at Florence Park Café
• St Nicholas Primary School | 11 July| meet 8:00 at Croft Road Playground
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Kidical Mass Oxford
Kidical Mass is a worldwide movement enabling children to cycle safely in groups on the streets of their towns and cities.
Oxford’s first Kidical Mass ride took place in the summer of 2022 with 100 participants.
Cyclox volunteers plan the routes and keep children safe. It’s a fun activity with a serious message about children’s independence, safe streets and active travel.

Dr Bike free cycle repairs
We offer free basic cycle repairs through our Dr Bike events across the city.
This includes:
• brake adjustment and replacement if we have your type of brake pad
• gear adjustment and cable replacement
• oiling chains and cables
• pumping up tyres and repairing punctures if we have your size of inner tube
Note: We don’t replace chains, gears or other large parts.
