Our response to Central Oxfordshire Movement and Place Framework
Our infrastructure group submitted a response on 19 March 2025 to the COMPF consultation by Oxfordshire County Council. Phase 1 of the Framework looks at the city centre and north Oxford and has the following broad aims:
- Raising the quality of public realm
- Supporting a shift to active travel and public transport
- Improving access to green and blue spaces
- Making the most of development and regeneration
Cyclox welcomes the outline proposals and is excited by the broad direction of travel. Our response raises a number of concerns about cyclist safety at specific points in the areas discussed, and also the issue of inadequate bike parking in the city centre.
